10:30-12 Face and Tongue Analysis for Self Care
When you understand how to read the body through the indicators of the face and tongue, it will give you deep insight into the state of the body, mind and spirit. This information will allow you to better understand the foods, herbs and lifestyle choices which are most life enhancing for your individual constitution.
In classic Ayurveda, we study ashtavidha pariksha, which is the eight-fold examination methodology. For this class we will focus on two of the eight methods: face analysis, which falls under akruti (form) and jihiva, which is the tongue diagnosis. Through these simple maps, the entire being is represented. You will learn about the state of your system and how well it is functioning. For example, are you absorbing your food properly? Are certain organs of the body needing attention? Are toxins accumulating and how best to release them? Let’s explore and discover the answers together. Although this workshop is based on Ayurvedic principles, it is applicable to herbal medicine of all traditions. We’ll look at the action and energetic effects of various substances and how they can be implemented to regain our natural state of balance. This will be an experiential class. We’ll be smelling and tasting herbs, herbal jams and other goodies.

DETAILS ON THE 2014 MONTANA HERB GATHERING CANCELLATION
(NOTE: Although the main Gathering has been cancelled, you are invited to attend the above mentioned Satellite Herb Conference)
On May 31st the Board unanimously decided to cancel this year's event.
Although the main reason was an unusually low amount of participants and therefore not enough money to cover all expenses there were various other factors that played a role in our decision. It has been an emotional and difficult decision and we pushed hard to explore every possible course of action before we came to the conclusion that cancellation was our only choice.
This does not mean that our organization is coming to an end, it merely means we are skipping a year and we will be back stronger than ever in 2015 !!!!
As a matter of fact, we are so enthusiastic about this year's teacher- and class schedule that we have re-invited all teachers to join us in 2015 so we can still offer this wonderful and great Gathering.
For everybody who has already registered, we will refund you between now and July 1st. If you have not received your refund by that date please contact us immediately!.
We are sorry for any inconvenience that our decision might have caused but we promise we will make next year's Gathering extra special and we hope you will all consider joining us again!.
A special 'thank you' goes out to all our teachers, sponsors, volunteers and every other person that has put in tremendous amounts of effort to support us with this year's Gathering and we want you to know that your work was not in vain, you have just laid the basis for the 2015 Gathering to become a great success. We hope we may add you to our ranks again next year and we are looking forward to seeing everybody there!!!
