Activities for the 2008 Montana Herb Gathering include:

 

The Botanical Ball

The Night we've all been waiting for...an evening filled with music, song, dance, food and of course the Botanical Costume Contest.  Start working on your costume now!  Dress as your favorite herb or whatever plant beckons you or any plant related theme.  Last year's highlights were Horehound, Mandrake and Dandelion just to name a few.  First place winner will get their choice of the silent auction prizes!  So get wild, there's no such thing as too elaborate for this crowd.  This year the kids parade will be the kick off to the evening.

Raffle

We will be raffling off this fabulous quilt at MHG 2008. 

The Drawing for the raffle will be

held Sunday, Aug 3, during the closing circle. 

Get your tickets early.  Prices will increase

slightly during the event.  Must be present to win.

Yoga

Linda Welsh of Sage Mountain Center will be our yoga instructor....Please bring your own mat.

 

Massage

Liz Allen of Focus Massage Therapy in Bozeman, will be giving massages

throughout the weekend. She offers deep tissue, myofascial release,

tui na, passive stretching, hot stone treatments and lymphatic detox.

$65 an hour -- includes health history, recommended stretching and questions answered by Liz.

$30 1/2 hour (kids only) -- this is an amazing  and powerful way to introduce your child to body awareness, relaxation awareness and therapeutic touch.

Herbal Market Place


Each year we invite herbalists and other crafty types to come share their fabulous products with us at the market place.  It is a great opportunity to discover what local and visiting artists and herbalists are fruiting with their labor and the MHG is the perfect opportunity for the unveiling of new products.

Sweat Lodge

The Sweat Lodge will be held off site on Sunday night.  Sign up with Shane Doyle throughout the weekend or

contact him early to reserve your spot.

 

Tea Kitchen

The traditional hub of the gathering, the tea kitchen is the place to take a break, have a refreshing cup of tea and chat with others; it is also the place to go with questions.

Veg, tofu or chicken curry w/ coconut milk

Breakfast:
Choice of cold cereal, granola or oatmeal,

fruit salad, hard boiled eggs & juice

Lunch:
Tomato basil soup
Green salad
Kamut salad
Make your own cold sandwich

Dinner:

Make your own Burrito
Local grass-fed beef, tofu or rice and beans
Pinto beans
Coleslaw
Green salad
Chips and salsa

Sunday
Breakfast:
Same with addition of egg scramble

Lunch:
Leftovers and make your sandwich
