The 8th Annual Montana Herb Gathering, held at

Hyalite Youth Camp,

18 miles South of Bozeman, MT in the

Gallatin National Forest

Driving Directions

From I-90, exit on 19th Avenue.

Head south on 19th Avenue for just over 9 miles.

(19th Ave. will curve west near the foothills.)

Turn left (south) on Hyalite Canyon Road.

Follow Hyalite Canyon Road for almost 10 miles to Hyalite Reservoir.

Continue over the dam and south along the reservoir.

The Hyalite Youth Camp driveway is on the right side of the road

just past the Hood Creek Campground, and is marked with a Forest Service sign.

On Site Lodging/Accommodations

Lodging: $10.00 per person for the three day event. (Aug 1, 2, 3) for Bunk House, Cabin, Teepee or Tent Camping options.

Bunk House Four Bunk House (Summer Camp Style) buildings that sleep 12 each. Wooden framed bunks, bring all your own sleeping pads, bags and pillow. This one would be great for two families or a group of friends. First come first serve basis. If you have special request's please write them on the back of your registration form.

Cabin 6 Cabins that sleep 8 Wooden framed bunks, no pads, bring your own. This would be a great option for a group of friends or two families. If you want to room with someone in particular please write this on the back of your registration form.

Teepee 3 Teepee's that sleep 4 Bring all of your own sleeping gear for the teepee's, they are bare. This option is great for a family or a group of friends. If there is someone on particular you would like to room with please write that on the backside of your registration form.

Tent Camp Camp on Site with all of your own gear. first come first serve basis. Spots will get taken up early day of registration.
Off Site This means you have secured your own lodging and will not se staying at the camp ground. This also includes camping at other spots in the Hyalite area of Gallatin National Forest.

About the camp...Hyalite Youth Camp is an off the grid camp that is powered by solar and back up generators. The site,"campus" includes a kitchen building, shower house, fire pit all on Hyalite Reservoir.
